The Patricia Kind Family Foundation is committed to aligning all of our assets with our mission in order to increase our impact beyond our grant making activities. In 2014, we formally adopted the following Investment Policy Statement to reflect this value.
In order to accomplish the Foundation’s mission, assets will be invested in mission related, socially responsible and impact vehicles as much as possible.
The Foundation’s investment policy and asset allocation have been customized to reflect:
Mission, goals and objectives
Risk and return expectations
Ongoing spending needs
The most important objectives for the account are to promote mission and to provide for the yearly Foundation grant budget and expenses.
We believe that by separating our invested assets from our grant making we will limit our ability to further our mission. Through direct program and mission related investments we strive to have the greatest possible impact with all of our assets.
The mission of the Foundation is to financially support organizations that help children, adults, and seniors in need obtain physical and mental health care and related human services, including food, shelter, clothing and education in the Philadelphia area. We are especially committed to helping individuals and families who struggle daily with the effects of poverty.
