Tess Patricia Kind
Tess Patricia Kind
Tess Patricia Kind is a teaching artist and ecological designer working at the intersections of education, land, food, and health, to develop alternative systems and strategies toward collective liberation. She is the youngest child of trustee Chrissy Kind and shares her mother’s passion and commitment to reimagining a world where all people are able to get their needs met, in Philadelphia and beyond. Currently, Tess works on a cooperatively run community farm in Massachusetts that participates in the Solidarity Economy through mutual aid, paths to worker-ownership, advocacy for dignified labor conditions and access to whole food. Tess enjoys swimming, reading, and learning Spanish. She studied art, education, and horticulture at Pratt Institute and Temple University, and continues her education studying alternative and cooperative economies, agribusiness, and participatory management. Tess feels lucky and honored to step into the role of Trustee, and she carries the responsibility to contribute to her grandmother’s vision of care and wellness for all.
